Showdown at Dawn!

It’s been months since the last time I played a tabletop strategy game. Several hours in isolation spent painting models dreaming of the day I would be able to deploy my minions again. Then one day, my buddy Kris offered to host a fully-painted battle at his place on his brand new, sexy table. Delightful!

I was so excited to play on this table and wanted to take some really nice photos. That led to me editing them and putting them together as a battle report to share with our gaming group. I only wish that I had taken more photos. Here it is.

This project was really interesting and gave me an opportunity to use a diverse set of skills. I got to work with layout design, a little bit of writing and photography all while using my hobby as the subject. Super fun! It’s also a great way to keep track of key moments in my games. Next time I’d like to add an illustration and maybe some more narrative text. Until then, back to the paint table!
